CRUISE FAQs:  Your Cruise Questions Answered...

  • How can I know which Cruise Line to choose?

There are more than 20 cruise lines representing more than 150 different ships. Each cruise line has a different personality, as do the ships within each fleet.  Your cruise specialist, Carlanne, is studying to become an Accredited Cruise Counselor,  a designation awarded from the Cruise Line International Association to agents who go through an intensive program of learning about the different Cruise Lines, their ships and their itineraries. This training program includes studies, exams, ship inspections, cruises and familiarization with each Cruise Lines, their ships and personnel.   Carlanne can help you define your interests, inclinations and dreams so that you find just the right cruise, to the right location and at the right price.

  • Which Cruise is Right For Me?

  • Are you a single individual, a newlywed couple, a family with or without children, an empty nester, baby boomers or a senior?

  • Do you have special needs such as handicapped/disabled, diet restrictions or allergies?

  • Would you like an eco-tour, adventure cruise, a chance to see the "homeland" of your ancestors, or the pampering of a spa-cruise?

  • Are you thinking of a family reunion?

  • A "Ladies-Only" vacation with your girlfriends, sisters, or other female family members?

  • How about a golfing vacation?

  • Are your children clamoring for a Disney vacation but you are weary at the thought of trekking around Disney World or DisneyLand for days on end, standing in lines for rides and food.  Think about a Disney Cruise.  If you think Disney Cruises are only for the kids, think again.  The Disney cruise is for children of all ages, even those of you who long to reconnect with your mate but find the demands of family stand between you and your intimacy.  On a Disney cruise you can find the romance and once again believe in "Never-Never Land".

All these types of vacations, and more, are available when you go on a cruise.  There are accommodations for all these and more on board the cruise ships.  Carlanne knows how to meet your needs while finding you the best vacation experience.

NOTES FROM A FIRST TIME CRUISER:

That did not go well....I will never be so cheap again as to insist on an inside cabin.  I was so envious of the people who has balconies.  My first cruise was only a 4 day cruise but that is 3 nights too many in a dark closet.  Really small, and when I turned out the lights, it was the blackest of black in the room.  I had to turn the light back on and locate where everything was in the tiny room so I would not kill myself if I had to get up in the middle of the night.  It was a little rough at sea the first night.  I am a sailor, but in the pitch black of my room, laying on the bed and keeping my hands on the headboard so I would know which direction I was laying, the bed definitely pitched around a bit.  I talked to some folks who had balcony rooms and they did not notice the rough seas at all.  Maybe choosing the cheapest inside room was not such a good idea.  The room was on the lowest occupied deck and that may have had an impact on the rock and roll.  I was not sick or anything, but I learned that the only way to survive that closet was to turn the television to the channel that had the forward cameras on board and put it on mute.  Then when I would awaken, I could see the lights and forward motion of the ship.  The rest of the cruise was great fun: sunning in a secluded area on the stern of the ship; the spa (oh yes!); Great food; Walking the decks and talking to the other passengers; dining options galore (did I mention great food????); I could go on and on!  I will definitely cruise again -thinking of a 7 or a 10 day cruise to a warm locale ..... but not in an inside cabin!!!  BALCONY - HERE I COME!!!
